Portable Hand Washing Station for Fire and Disaster Relief

The portable hand washing station for incident hygiene

Attention, responders! In fire and disaster relief services, hygiene is not just a matter of comfort but a decisive factor for your health and safety. With portable washbasins from LAVESE, Rescuevation offers a simple and effective way to improve hygiene right on site.

Why a portable washbasin is essential for fire departments

During an incident, firefighters and rescue workers are often exposed to harmful substances, including carcinogenic polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) released with smoke and soot. A portable washbasin lets you wash your hands right at the incident scene and remove these hazardous substances quickly and effectively.

The benefits of a portable washbasin

• Less carcinogenic PAH: Using a portable washbasin with special cleansers such as pak-ex is key to minimising exposure to harmful substances. Washing your hands immediately after an incident significantly reduces the risk of long-term health problems.

• Better incident hygiene: A portable washbasin lets you wash your hands anytime and anywhere. This is especially important to stop the spread of germs and infections from contact with contaminated surfaces.

• Easy access and quick use: The compact design makes the portable washbasin easy to set up and use directly on scene. This saves valuable time and ensures that responders can clean up quickly and efficiently.

• Health and safety: By offering a way to clean up immediately, the portable washbasin helps protect the overall health and safety of responders. This supports operational readiness and the well-being of the teams.

LAVESE Basic or LAVESE Pro?

Both basins work without a water connection, power or battery. You fill in 8 l of fresh water, and after six pump strokes the water flows. That is enough for up to 25 hand washes. The waste water collects in its own tank until you empty it at the station.

• LAVESE Basic: the portable washbasin with water tank, hand pump and waste water tank.
• LAVESE Pro: plus a stainless steel splash guard, towel dispenser, waste bag ring and 2 Euro dispensers for soap and disinfectant. You can retrofit the splash guard to an existing Basic.
