Gear care
Dries without harming your gear
Heat is the enemy of turnout gear. The condensation technology works in a closed loop at a very low operating temperature, with the gear hanging and no drum.
- membrane, reflective trim, Velcro and seams last longer
- no mechanical stress as in a tumble dryer
- longer service life for your gear
Sollstar itself names damage from drying too hot as the main problem when storing personal gear.

Hygiene
Ozone generator fitted as standard
Both sizes come with an ozone generator and air filters. It works during drying and also clears the odors, so the gear is ready for service again.
- removes bacteria, mold, mites and fungi
- prevents their growth
- removes odors from clothing and gear
- ozone-free option: UV-C or plasma on request

After washing
Reactivates the fluorocarbon finish
The outer shell of turnout gear is often treated with fluorocarbon resins. This water-repellent finish only cross-links again with heat, and for that the cabinet runs above 70 °C.
- above 70 °C for cross-linking after washing
- very low temperature for everyday use
- one cabinet, two operating modes
The 70 °C figure comes from the technical information on cleaning fire department protective clothing on atemschutzunfaelle.de. Your clothing manufacturer’s care instructions take precedence.
