About us
Rescuevation is the brand of Löschigel GmbH. We develop and manufacture in Andernach: emergency response equipment for fire departments buying through public procurement and for companies responsible for the safety of their facilities.
01von 06Who we are
Rescuevation grew out of volunteer service. Jan Heinemann built the first Löschigel® himself and turned it into a company, knowing how equipment feels when it really matters. That is why we let the incident decide, not the catalog: few steps, clear operation, nothing that needs explaining at the critical moment.
02von 06What we measure by
“safety made simple” is the requirement we set for ourselves. We have broken it down into three statements and measure every development against them.
safety
No component without an operational reason. Every function goes back to a documented requirement: the incident, the crews on scene, whatever is missing today. We gathered these requirements with officers from fire departments, not at a desk. Anything that only makes the data sheet longer stays out.
made
We develop and manufacture in Germany, with our headquarters in Andernach. Made by us also means: our responsibility. Technical questions are answered by the founder himself, not by an importer, not by a call center.
simple
The device has to work with whichever team is on hand: with gloves on, in the dark, without a manual, the first time. We apply this yardstick before delivery, not in the hands-on instruction afterwards. Whatever fails goes back to the design stage.
03von 06What we built
From the first self-built device to today’s product range, with the awards that others have given for it.
The first device of our own, and to this day the starting point of the product range. The Löschigel® is patented.
The Löschigel® wins 1st place at Jugend forscht; the award is presented by the Federal Minister of Labor. It then goes on to compete at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF).
The invention becomes a venture: 1st place at StartUp Teens is the first award for the company behind the device.
Dönges adds the Löschigel® to its range. Fire departments can now also get the device through their usual procurement channel.
The second product line: a modular system for underbody cooling of EVs and for retrofitting existing vehicles for vegetation fires.
The easyToilet® SOS is created in cooperation with Haidl Products. Post-incident decontamination becomes a field of its own alongside firefighting.
An award from KfW, Germany’s largest development bank.
First place in the Rhineland-Palatinate startup competition StartUp innovativ.
The spray bar extends the SnakE® system: existing vehicles get vegetation fire equipment, with no need to procure a new vehicle.
Awarded by the vfdb, the German Fire Protection Association.
