Fire department post-incident decon: procedure and equipment

If your PPE smells of fire smoke or soot is visible, assume contamination. The DGUV research project on cancer risk in firefighting identifies the skin as a relevant uptake route for PAHs. Under DGUV Information 205-035, you need to wash hands, neck and face immediately after doffing your PPE. Take care of this on scene, and carry-over stays low.

The Basic brings the basin with fresh and waste water tanks and works independently of power and water hookups. The LAVextend requires an existing Basic and adds splash guard, paper towel dispenser, trash bag holder and two EURO mounts that keep the 500 ml bottle of pak-ex within reach.
