EV cooling system
SnakE® is the intuitive, modular extinguishing system for fast, efficient underbody cooling of electric vehicles.
The modules are simply clamped onto a sectional ladder or a specially optimized aluminum frame without tools, and the SnakE® system is ready for use.

Retrofit spray bar
The wildfire set is an extension of the SnakE® set for EV underbody cooling and can still be used for that purpose without restriction.
The compact nozzle modules are simply clamped onto the folding retrofit spray bar and secured with spring catches. The complete system is then attached to the vehicle's shackles without tools.

Rotary sprinkler
For use as a rotary sprinkler, the same compact modules are simply converted to rotary sprinkler nozzles. They can easily be strapped to any suitable structure, such as trees. This means the rotary sprinklers can also be used effectively on slopes.

Emergency decon
With the SnakE® modules and sectional ladder sections, an effective emergency decon shower can be set up quickly and easily. It allows gross removal of fire particles from all directions.

SnakE® underbody cooling
Fighting EV fires
Underbody cooling is the simplest and safest method for efficiently fighting fires in cars that use a lithium-ion battery for high-voltage energy storage. Underbody cooling is also recommended in the Tesla rescue data sheets.
Underbody cooling avoids additional damage to the vehicle and carries no risk of unnecessary damage to the battery.
The ladder is continuously cooled by SnakE®, and temperatures close to the ground are usually not as high.
As an alternative, we offer a folding aluminum frame that can also be stowed in the Euro box.
Retrofit spray bar
Our mobile retrofit spray bar is a cost-efficient way to upgrade existing pump-and-roll-capable vehicles. This way, you do not have to wait for the next vehicle procurement.
The wildfire set is an extension of the SnakE® set for EV firefighting and can still be used without restriction for that purpose.

How does the modular SnakE® system work?

Connect modules
The individual nozzle modules are connected with custom-assembled D hoses. This always ensures an optimal spray pattern, and SnakE® can be extended without any problems.

The nozzle modules can be mounted on a specially sized, folding aluminum frame or on a sectional ladder. The overall height is so low that you can still get under most common electric vehicles even with burst tires.
Coupling a C hose
Water supply
Water is supplied via a C (52 mm) connection, which is split into two D outlets after a filter. This always ensures a sufficient water supply and protects the nozzles against clogging. The nozzles can therefore atomize the water finely at all times, increasing the cooling capacity while reducing water consumption. Each nozzle uses only around 20 liters per minute.
Simple extension
Spray bar
With a straightforward extension from us, SnakE® can be converted into a spray bar. The same SnakE® set can therefore upgrade any pump-and-roll-capable fire apparatus with a wildfire spray bar. Ideal support for vegetation fires, clearing oil spills from roads or street cleaning.

SnakE® Solid: active cooling under the fire containment blanket
SnakE® Solid is the heat-resistant version of the modular extinguishing system from Rescuevation. Four V4A nozzle modules are joined by rigid V4A pipes and rotatable T-pieces, with no hoses that can melt. Developed for active underbody cooling under fire containment blankets, such as those from VLITEX.

“Extinguishing” blankets contain, they don’t cool
Fire containment blankets such as the VLITEX E-AUTO PREMIUM keep a burning battery contained, reduce smoke spread and protect the surroundings. What they do not do: actively cool the battery. The energy stays in the pack, the cell temperature does not drop, and a thermal runaway in progress keeps developing undisturbed under the blanket. Without cooling, the fire department waits for the vehicle to burn out, just in a more controlled way with a blanket.
The solution: SnakE® Solid
Four V4A nozzle modules are joined by four V4A pipe segments and two T-pieces with rotatable couplings into one mechanically rigid unit. No flexible hoses in the load path. Water is still fed via Storz D, and the connection to the existing water supply stays the same. The system is pushed into the hollow under the vehicle, and the blanket goes over it. Approx. 20 l/min per module with a full cone nozzle, finely atomized directly onto the underbody.
The rotatable T-pieces preserve tactical flexibility: the spray direction of each module remains adjustable, even though the pipe joints are rigid. SnakE® Solid and SnakE® 4 use the same Storz D interface. Both versions can be combined, for example SnakE® Solid under the blanket and the standard version outside for object cooling.
- Tesla rescue data sheet recommends direct underbody cooling with water for high-voltage batteries. SnakE® Solid makes this technically possible under the blanket.

Combination with VLITEX fire containment blankets
VLITEX GmbH from Bayreuth is an established manufacturer of fire containment blankets for vehicle and battery fires. The VLITEX E-AUTO PREMIUM is certified to DIN SPEC 91489 and withstands up to 1,000 °C continuously and up to 1,750 °C for short periods.
How they work together:
- The fire containment blanket is pulled over the vehicle and encloses the fire.
- SnakE® Solid is pushed under the underbody at the same time or beforehand.
- Water on: the battery is actively cooled under the blanket.
- A thermal imaging camera monitors the temperature development from outside.
The blanket contains the fire and protects the surroundings. SnakE® Solid brings the water where the nozzle alone cannot reach. Both systems work together, not against each other.

FAQs
When do I need SnakE® Solid over SnakE® 4?
Whenever you work with fire containment blankets or the system is used under intense radiant heat. SnakE® Solid has nothing in the load path that can melt. Without a blanket, SnakE® 4 is the more versatile and slightly more economical choice.
Can I combine SnakE® Solid with my existing VLITEX blanket?
Yes. The blanket contains the fire. SnakE® Solid actively cools underneath. Both systems are independent and are used in parallel. Prerequisite: enough ground clearance to slide SnakE® Solid under the vehicle before or while the blanket is in place.
Does it also work with other makers' blankets?
Technically yes, provided the blanket reduces the radiant heat and enough space remains for SnakE® Solid underneath. The combination with VLITEX has been tested and communicated. Blankets from other manufacturers may also be suitable, based on how the application works. We work out a specific recommendation with you in a consultation.
Can SnakE® Solid and SnakE® 4 be combined in one operation?
Yes. Both use the same Storz D (25 mm) interface. You can position SnakE® Solid under the blanket and work in parallel with SnakE® 4 outside it, for example for exposure cooling of neighboring vehicles.
How heatproof is V4A?
V4A (1.4571 / 1.4404) remains dimensionally stable up to well above 800 °C and is acid-resistant and corrosion-resistant to fire gases, battery contamination and salt water. In the realistic operating range under a fire containment blanket, the system remains mechanically sound.
Can SnakE® Solid rule out a thermal runaway?
That cannot be guaranteed. SnakE® Solid supports cooling in the underbody area and makes the water application called for in the AGBF recommendations technically feasible. Whether a thermal runaway occurs or is brought to an end depends on the damage pattern, the water supply and the operational situation.
How does maintenance compare to SnakE® 4?
Lower maintenance. SnakE® Solid has no hoses that need to be inspected or flushed. After deployment: flush the V4A pipes, visually inspect the nozzles, put everything back in the Euro box.
