In winter it is dark by 17:00, and sleet is falling on the drill yard. With the Car-X, you move technical rescue into the apparatus bay. No broken glass, no vehicle fluids, and at the end of the evening the bay is clear again.

The Car-X leaves no scattered glass. Your bay stays clean.
No oil, no fuel, no coolant, no airbag and no seatbelt pretensioner. Nothing leaks, nothing deploys.
Set up by two people in about 5 minutes. After the drill, swap the wear parts, roll the unit away, and the bay is clear.
Six extrication techniques
The drawing shows where each technique sits on a real vehicle. On the Car-X, you practice them with your own rescue tools, repeatable as often as you like thanks to replaceable wear parts.
Set the Halligan tool and axe, create a purchase point, then pop the door at the Nader pin with the spreader.
Use the hydraulic cutter or reciprocating saw and remove the door completely.
Realistic cutting drills on the A and B pillars, including a strut tower cut.
Conventionally with a rescue ram or modified with the spreader, to free trapped people. For the dash roll, the Car-X has an additional safeguard.
Spot the simulated high-voltage cable on the frame and assess it correctly. Targeted awareness for incidents involving EVs.
A rescue manikin sits in the unit as the trapped patient. No real person ever sits there during cutting and spreading. That way you practice every move with an eye on the person it is all about.

Who is the Car-X for?
More responders, more repetitions
Having done a move once does not mean you can perform it reliably on a call. Routine comes from repetition. On scrap vehicles, every repetition costs new doors, new pillars and, in the end, new vehicles.
For a road traffic collision with a trapped person, the vfdb plans 14 fire department responders and stresses how important initial and continuing training is when calls are rare.

The Car-X complements it. It builds routine into every move before you practice on a real vehicle, and that makes your time on the scrap vehicle far more productive.
Yes. The Car-X produces no broken glass, and the unit contains no vehicle fluids such as oil, fuel or coolant. After drill night, you swap the wear parts, roll the unit aside, and the bay is clear again.
What you cut and spread are replaceable wear parts. The leftover door pieces are reused for the pillar and dash roll, so one wear part covers several exercises. Your quote will set out how many wear parts your training plan needs.
During cutting and spreading, a rescue manikin always sits in the Car-X, never a real person. For the dash roll, the Car-X has an additional safeguard.
