The gap in the guide
Your emergency supplies are in the basement, the flashlight is in a drawer. Neither helps much if you first have to search for them in the dark.
Light from candles, flashlights or camping lamps ensures that you can still find your way around safely at home even after dark.
It does not say how you find the lamp in the dark.
The Patrol RX hangs in its charging station on the wall, connected to the 230 V power adapter. If the power fails, the station's LEDs switch on by themselves and show you exactly where it is.

The power goes out, and a single point lights up in the hallway. You take the Patrol RX out of the station and have full light. 11 h in Low lasts through the night.

The charging station lights up on its own.
If the external power supply fails, the charging station's LEDs switch on. They are powered by the Patrol RX battery. The switch for this sits on the top edge of the station and stays set to ON at all times.
The station light is a locator light: it shows where the lamp hangs. The manufacturer gives no figures for the runtime and light output of the station LEDs, which is why no number of hours appears here. The Patrol RX itself is fully charged at that moment.

The Li-ion battery is swappable. A second charged battery means a second night without a power outlet; we add the THH0056-BATTERY spare battery for you on request.
According to the data sheet, all levels except Boost and Strobe are measured to ANSI FL1.

The Patrol RX is not an emergency-kit extra but a duty light. The data sheet lists military, police, uniformed services, outdoor, hunting and everyday use as applications. For your home you get exactly this device, with no compromises.

Its place
Being prepared isn't about owning things. It's about finding them in the dark.
The station goes at hand height next to the front door. If the power fails, it is the only lit point in the hallway. You grab the Patrol RX from there and keep going instead of opening drawers first.
Step: screw on the plate at hand height
Basements rarely have a window. 335 lm in Low is enough for the meter cabinet and lasts 11 h. To look behind the heating system, use Program 2 to dim continuously up to 2,000 lm.
Step: hold the button and dim
The 12 V car charging cable for the cigarette lighter is included in the set, and so is the mounting plate. That way, the same lamp hangs in your car, RV or hunting vehicle.

Two of the three programs are all you need at home. The click sequences are exactly as given in the enclosed manual.

Yes. In its public information leaflet “Stromausfall. Vorsorge und Selbsthilfe” (Power outage: preparedness and self-help), the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK) names candles, flashlights and camping lamps as light that lets you still find your way around safely at home after dark.
It does not say where the lamp should hang or how you find it in the dark. The charging station closes this gap.
According to the data sheet: 11 h in Low at 335 lm, 4 h 40 min in Medium at 650 lm, 2 h 30 min in High at 1,580 lm. Boost at 2,000 lm runs for 30 s and then switches back by itself. The battery is fully charged after 4 h 30 min.
Screw on the mounting plate, click the station on, plug in the 230 V power adapter, set the switch on the top edge to ON. Later, a button releases the station from the plate again. Alternatively, the station charges via USB-C at 5 V / 2 A.
In Program 3, one click gives full light and the next click switches it off. That is all anyone needs to know. If you want finer control, switch to Program 2 and dim from 200 to 2,000 lm.

IP67 means dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion. So the Patrol RX survives rain, snow and a puddle. Continuous work under water is not covered by this rating. It is also impact resistant to 1.5 m per ANSI FL1.
Mactronic gives a 5-year warranty on the product and 2 years on the battery. Claims are handled by Rescuevation as the sales and service partner in Germany. You send the device to us, and we coordinate with the factory.
