The zone describes how often an explosive atmosphere occurs at the deployment site. The device must be approved for that zone.

Can I use the GUARDIAN XW in Zone 0?
Yes. The GUARDIAN is approved as equipment group II, Category 1G (II 1G Ex ia IIC T4 Ga). That applies to Zone 0 and therefore also to Zone 1 and Zone 2. The examination certificate is CSANe 22ATEX1206X.
What is the difference between the GUARDIAN XR and XW?
Housing, battery, 240 lm spot and ATEX approval are the same. The difference is the second light: the XR has a red signal light at a 45° angle, steady or flashing for up to 80 h. The XW has a white flood and signal light with 25 lm for close range, up to 50 h steady and up to 80 h flashing.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 6 h in High spot mode, up to 224 h in Eco mode. The white floodlight shines steadily for up to 50 h and flashes for up to 80 h. Spot and floodlight together run for up to 5 h 30 min. The 2,600 mAh battery charges in 4 h, and the LED indicator shows you the charge level.
Which set is the right one?
Both charging sets include the charging station: one with a 230 V charger and a 12 V car charger, one with the car charger only. The single light charges in the charging station of an existing set and is worthwhile for expanding your kit. For initial procurement, we recommend the complete set.
