What it holds

One trip, all the lighting

The roll container takes both light masts, both battery packs and the accessories all at once. No going back for more, no second trip to the vehicle.

  • 2 Baselight light mastsBoth masts travel in the container: two light points in one go.
  • 2 BMZ batteriesOff-grid power without a generator: quiet and exhaust-free.
  • 2 Euro boxesFree storage space for cables, tripods and the equipment the incident calls for.
  • 1 Crew memberTransport and setup of the complete lighting without a second person.

Capacity figures as specified by the manufacturer, Rescuevation. The roll container meets the AGBF guidance for roll containers.

The tactical difference

Carry the gear, or let it roll

Lighting is needed where the work is done. For it to actually light the incident scene, the light mast often has to stand some distance away, and it is exactly this walk that decides how many crew members it takes.

Carry by hand …

  • Nachteil: light mast, battery pack and accessories are fetched from the vehicle one by one
  • Nachteil: several trips over gravel, grass or forest tracks, each one under load
  • Nachteil: several crew members tied up before the first light point is up
  • Nachteil: the mast stands at the vehicle, and so rarely where the work is done

… or wheel the roll container

  • Vorteil: everything on one chassis: one trip to the setup point, no going back for more
  • Vorteil: all-terrain tires when the incident scene lies away from paved roads
  • Vorteil: one crew member brings the complete lighting to the spot
  • Vorteil: the setup point follows the incident, not the vehicle

Fireground

Four steps to the first light point

From the vehicle to a fully lit work area: no second crew member and no second trip.

  1. Unload container

The roll container leaves the vehicle as one unit, with both light masts, both battery packs and the accessories on board.

  2. Roll into position

One crew member pulls the container to where the light is needed. With the off-road chassis, even over gravel and forest tracks.

  3. Set up light mast

Fold out the legs, raise the mast, extend it. The Baselight is designed as an all-in-one mast that one person can set up.

  4. Connect battery pack

The BMZ module powers the mast off-grid: no generator, no cable run to the vehicle.

Tip for everyday operationsThe roll container meets the AGBF guidance for roll containers and so fits into existing hook-lift operations.
