Technology for light discipline
Two light sources, infrared and IFF identification in 136 g, certified to military standard.
Two independent light sources
White, RGB and infrared at the front, an RGB+IR diffuser for the Beacon at the rear. The two lights work independently of each other.
Beacon with IFF identification
The rear diffuser spreads the flashing light. With the IFF function, your own people recognize you even at night.
Colors with stated wavelengths
Mactronic specifies each color with its wavelength. Red is 625 nm, green 525 nm, blue 465 nm and infrared 880 nm.
2 × CR123A included
The Storm 1LP runs on two CR123A batteries, which are included. One set lasts 80 hours on White Low and up to 95 hours in Beacon Strobe 1.
Switch-Lock and paracord
The Switch-Lock (button lock) prevents accidental switching on. With the included paracord you secure the lamp to your gear.

The package includes 2 × CR123A and a paracord, but no helmet mount. Mactronic shows the Storm 1LP on tactical helmets. Tell us your helmet type in your request and we will clarify how the lamp can be attached to it.
What are the Beacon and IFF identification for?
The Beacon is the rear light source. It flashes in white, red, green, blue or infrared and shows your team where you are. The IFF function (identification friend or foe) is used to recognize your own people in the dark. In Strobe 1 mode the Beacon runs for up to 95 hours.
Which batteries does the Storm 1LP need?
Two CR123A, which are included. With them, white shines on High at 90 lm for 8 h 45 min, on Medium at 50 lm for 17 h 30 min and on Low at 10 lm for 80 h. Strobe 1 runs up to 95 h, Strobe 2 up to 50 h.
How does the Storm 1LP differ from the Prism?
The Prism is a headlamp for work light with up to 650 lm from Spot and Flood, an 18650 battery with USB-C and an NVG mount that, according to Mactronic, is designed for combat and fire helmets. The Storm 1LP is designed for marking and light discipline, with 90 lm white light, Beacon, infrared, IFF identification, IP68 and MIL-STD-810H. For work light on a fire helmet, the Prism is the right choice.
How rugged is the Storm 1LP?
The lamp is dustproof and submersible to IP68, certified to military standard MIL-STD-810H and withstands drops from a height of 2 m.
